The film is about the director herself, a 35 year old woman has been married for 11 years with no children. She believes that she still has time to decide whether or not she wants to become a mother when she finds out there is a fibroma growing in her womb. After visiting the Dr. she is told the best time to get pregnant is right after the surgery. This film covers the 21 days before her operation where she is struggling with this issue.
BIOGRAPHYShirin Barghnavard was born in 1976. She received her Advanced Diploma in Screen (Directing Stream) from CENTRAL TAFE, Perth Campus in Western Australia in 2007 and a Bachelor of Arts in Film Directing from Sooreh University in Tehran. She has been working in different fields such as Directing and Scriptwriting. She was a lecturer in the Central Tafe WA (School of Art Design & Media) in Australia in 2005. Her films have been selected for many Iranian and international festivals. "21 Days and Me" is her first long documentary. |
