In the hard and harsh geographic area of the desert, two young brothers try to survive: one by feeding opium to the camels that carry contraband, the other by stealing diesel fuel from the trucks and then selling it to the drivers. Along comes a depressed man who wants to take refuge in his hometown. He will give them a new conception of life.

BIOGRAPHY

Born in 1976, Saman Salur is a graduate of Sureh College in Cinema. He has been assistant director and programmer in three long features, and has made many short films and documentaries for TV. His first short film "Eightieth Minute" was chosen as the best film in The Young Crescent Festival 2000 in Tehran and "The Wind Will Comb Your Tresses" was very well received by International Film Festivals around the world such as Venice , Berlin , . . . . "From Land of Silence" is his first feature film.
